Federica Pessini (Parma, 1985), graduated in Matter Physics at the University of Parma (2012). She is currently attending a PhD in Ecology and Management of Environmental Resources (XXIX cycle) at the University of Tuscia in collaboration with the IAMC-CNR in Oristano. It deals with the development of an integrated system for the study of the dynamics of the marine ecosystem of the seas around Sardinia. The sector covers the interface between experimental oceanography and numerical modeling of the open sea. She participated in several oceanographic cruises in the Western Mediterranean during which she worked on the acquisition and pre-processing of CTD and ADCP data.
