Curriculum vitae:

MATTEO SINERCHIA graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) in Ocean Science and Fisheries Science from the University of Plymouth (UK). He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2007 from Imperial College London, specializing in ecological modeling in the marine environment, specifically predicting cephalopod recruitment in relation to environmental changes and trophic dynamics of ecosystems (predator-prey interactions).
He is an expert in numerical modeling of eco-physiology and population dynamics using Individual Based Modeling and Lagrangian Ensemble approaches, as well as end-to-end ecosystem modeling. He is proficient in programming languages such as C++, Java, and Fortran.
Since 2008, he has been working as a researcher at the National Research Council (CNR) in Oristano, Italy, specifically focusing on ecological and ecosystem modeling applied to fisheries. In his role as a researcher, he has contributed to the preparation of various scientific articles and has been involved in numerous national and international projects as responsible for the application of the Atlantis ecosystem model in different areas of the Mediterranean.
